Aldridge is part of a Legends side featuring greats like Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, John Barnes, Ronnie Whelan and Robbie Fowler.

Aldridge said: "Playing at Anfield again is going to be special for me and it's something I never envisaged doing again, especially in front of a big crowd.

"It's alright playing in the Soccer Six events with Liverpool but this is a huge bonus and it's for the right reasons as well, a great cause so everyone is looking forward to it.

"Seeing all the lads again is great. It's nice to see each other again and take the mickey out of each other, it's good banter and once we get out there Sunday we won't want it to end It's going to be very special.

"It is not a bad forward line we have out and I think Kenny will have to play in midfield because me and Rushie want to play 90 minutes!"

The Tsunami Soccer Aid game was organised by Jason McAteer who will play for 15 minutes for the Legends. The game kicks off at 4pm tomorrow and tickets are still available.
