Alonso an injury doubt

Alonso picked up a slight calf injury in the 2-2 draw with Blackburn on Saturday but the Reds are hopeful the player will recover in time to train with the rest of the team in Deportivo tonight.

Benitez said: "Xabi took a kick to his calf at Blackburn but we are hopeful he will be okay. He will hopefully train with us in Deportivo on Tuesday night."
