Alonso gets one game ban

Alonso's yellow card against West Ham on Tuesday night was his fifth of the season and means the midfielder must sit out Liverpool's visit to St James' Park on February 10th.

Liverpool will have Momo Sissoko and Bolo Zenden back from injury for that game however, and Javier Mascherano on board as a holding midfielder should he be match fit.
