Alonso hands in transfer request

Rafael Benitez wanted the midfielder to go public if he wanted to leave the Reds and he has now done so according to the Liverpool Echo, putting in a transfer request.

Benitez will allow Alonso to go, but only if Real Madrid match his £30m valuation of the player.
