Alonso injury blow

Xabi Alonso could miss Saturday's FA Cup final after injuring his ankle during Liverpool's last Premiership game of the season. Alonso fell akwardly and injured his ankle in the first half of the Reds' game at Fratton Park. He was immediately stretchered off as a precaution.

Alonso will have a scan at Melwood tomorrow to determine the extent of the injury.
