"Losing the final gives us more determination to win in future. We feel we've wasted one chance to win a trophy, but we have motivation to win more trophies," said the Spanish midfielder.

"Now we have to put the disappointment of losing the world club championship final behind us and concentrate on the Premiership now.

"The final is in the past and now we must look forward. But instead of thinking about the fact we lost, we can be positive and say we showed we could have been the world champions. We were better than the team which won."
