Alonso not underestimating Northern Ireland

Spain travel to Windsor Park for a European Championship qualifier. Northern Ireland had an awful result at the weekend when they were beaten 3-0 by Iceland but Xabi Alonso says England's 1-0 defeat last season means Spain won't underestimate their opponents.

"We know this side beat England so we know it is not going to be easy and we will give them respect," said the cultured midfielder.
 
"It is difficult to beat any side away from home in international football."
