Alonso says tie not over

Liverpool hold a 3-1 lead from the first leg and are expected to comfortably progress through to the next round tonight. However, Xabi Alonso says he and his team-mates are not taking a win for granted.

"I hope that Kaunas aren't capable of scoring twice at Anfield but you must never take matters for granted in football," he says.

"That's why we have to be serious from the first kick, keep the ball and try to grab an early goal. If we manage to do that, we shouldn't have too many problems.

"We are playing at home with a two-goal advantage, so I am totally confident that we'll beat them - but we have to be prudent. From the start we must take the match seriously and take control of things and if we play to our potential, I'm confident we will win the second leg handsomely."
