Nicolas Anelka has been told that he will not be going to the World Cup with France, which doesn't really come as a surprise.
The onloan PSG striker was expecting to be snubbed but was naturally hoping there was a small chance that he would make the final squad.
France boss Roger Lemerre said: "I told Nicolas personally that he won't be going to the World Cup. He didn't say anything to me other than he wasn't surprised."
