Anelka set to prove a point

The French striker has turned doen the offer of being rested for Sunday's FA Cup tie and will be hoping to make a better impact than the last time the two sides met in September, when Michael Owen took the glory in a 3-0 win for the Reds.

"He will be fit for the Liverpool game," confirmed City boss Kevin Keegan. "We won't train him but we will just put him out against Liverpool and let him get on with it."
