Anfield bucks the trend

Whilst most of the Premiership grounds average attendance figures this season have fallen, Anfield has had an increased gate, with an average of around 2,000 more supporters taking their seats this season compared to last.

Fellow North West team Blackburn have lost around 3,500 fans, with a measly average attendance of just 20,017 whilst Bolton average gate this season has fallen to just 25,306, down 1,276 from last season.

However, the famous loyalty of Scouse fans, Everton included, has meant that both Premiership sides in Liverpool can be happy in the knowledge that their gates have increased, with an average Anfield crowd now up to to 44,915 from 42, 977 last season.
