Aquilani finally gets a game

The £20m Italian midfielder played his part in the 2-0 win over Sunderland reserves at Tranmere's Prenton Park.

It is very unlikely that he will be in the squad for Sunday's game with Manchester United, but could make his first team debut against Arsenal in the Carling Cup next Wednesday.
