The defender pulled up in training yesterday with a suspected hamstring tear and is now facing at least a fortnight on the sidelines. With Philipp Degen still injured reserves captain Stephen Darby could earn more first team action or Martin Skrtel's return could see Jamie Carragher play a couple of games at right-back.
