Argentine defender talks on hold

The 20-year-old defender was due to commence talks with Liverpool this week, but they have now been postponed.

"Negotiations have reached an impasse until the end of the season," said Banfield president Carlos Portell.

"Gabriel wanted to play in the Clausura Championship with us.

"They are likely to be completed but we will wait until the end of the season."
