Aurelio tore a hamstring in last month's 3-1 win over Man Utd but is well on the road to recovery and could ease Kenny Dalglish's defensive injury worries by featuring against Man City. Aurelio's return is a timely one as Glen Johnson is currently out with a hamstring injury.
Both of the reserve team's regular fullbacks, left-back Jack Robinson and right-back John Flanagan were left out of the reserve team last night and are expected to train with the first team squad this week.
