The Brazilian left-back left the Reds a couple of months ago after turning down a pay-as-you-play deal from Rafael Benitez. However, he is a Liverpool player once again after being offered a two year contract by Roy Hodgson and was delighted to become a Red once again.

"I feel very pleased and proud. It feels like I am signing for the first time - everything has changed so it is like a new beginning for me with new confidence and a new boss," said Aurelio.

"Hopefully I can do well this season.

"My aim is to help the team do better than last season. Everything is going really well, so I think we can progress a lot.

"We have made some good additions to the team and we can be very confident.

"I have been working for a while by myself since the end of my contract and trying to keep fit in pre-season, so I think I am in good condition.

"Hopefully I can have some involvement in the game against Moenchengladbach."
