It was from Aurelio's cross that Yossi Benayoun headed in the winner against Real Madrid and afterwards the Brazilian said the goal was down to work done at Melwood.

"I'm very happy to have set up the goal," he said.

"It's always pleasing when the free-kicks and set-pieces you've been practising in training work in a match.

"It's difficult to play against big teams like Madrid, especially away from home. But we fought until the end and controlled them well.

"We are delighted with the result. It's always very important to try and get an away goal.

"I think we had the chances to score more than one goal but we know we have an advantage now and, although it's not over yet, we have a great opportunity to progress."
