The Argentinian defender said: "I know several English clubs have been interested in me, but Valencia have so far refused to sell me.
"I think there is some truth in the reports about Liverpool.
"We proved at Valencia this season that you can win titles without expensive stars like Beckham or Ronaldinho. Our secret was that we had a no-surrender mentality.
"I think that I owe myself an experience in England but it is up to Valencia to sell me. We still haven't won the Champions League, and that sticks in our throats."
