Babel refuses to talk about the future

The Dutch forward is one of a number of players who may make way for new signings in the New Year if the club's new owners offer Roy Hodgson a decent transfer kitty.

Babel has been less than impressive since his arrival at Anfield and critics are claiming that he now has less than three months to prove himself.

He played in Thursday night's goalless draw in Napoli, but looks to be back on the bench with Fernando Torres returning to the first eleven for the Blackburn game on Sunday.

"It is always the same story, this is your chance, this is your chance," he said. "I don't see it like that any more, it is just another game and I do it for myself.

"My situation is clear for everyone so I don't need to talk about it, I have said enough things in the past so I don't want to talk about it."
