Barcelona consolidated their place at the top of La Liga with a comfortable 3-0 win over relegation threatened Athletic Bilbao. The Catalans were also boosted by the return of Samuel Eto'o who made his first start since returning from injury.

Eto'o gave an impressive performance, scoring one and setting up another. His display will be a warning to Liverpool that there is still life in the Champions League tie despite the Reds' first leg lead.
