Liverpool midfielder Nick Barmby is hoping that he will play some part in the massive game at Anfield tomorrow evening.

The England international recently recovered from an ankle injury and after making an appearance against Fulham, he's hoping to be given more time to impress this time around.

"It is a big boost for us to have him back and he will give us even more clout," said acting boss Phil Thompson.

"We also have Jamie Redknapp back in training, Patrik Berger started jogging again today and we are hopeful Steven Gerrard will be back in training by the weekend.

"So with a bit of luck we will go into the final games of the season with only Markus Babbel unavailable."

Liverpool are believed to be considering fielding Heskey, Owen and Anelka from the start with Heskey possibly playing on the wing.
