Baros ready to replace Owen

Baros scored his first goal of the season as Liverpool came from behind to beat Manchester City 2-1 at Anfield yesterday and then promised to do his best to ensure Michael Owen isn't missed.

Said Baros:"It's normal to feel pressure when your main striker leaves and I know if we don't score goals then people will be asking questions. Michael is a great player but he's gone now and we have to score goals without him.

"I'd like to be the man who scores the 20 goals a season that he used to. Whether I can or not we'll see at the end of the season. All I know is that I'll do my best in every game to score goals and prove to the manager I can do a job for the team. It was a good start for me and for the team today."
