Czech signing Milan Baros is unhappy at his lack of appearances since joining the Reds despite knowing that he wouldn't be thrown in at the deep end when he put pen to paper.

Baros says he's unhappy with Phil Thompson failing to use him but in fairness to the acting boss, he has said that the youngster would be used when the Champions League action returned.

"I knew it would be difficult here, but I thought I would at least get a chance," said Baros.

"Maybe things will get better when Gerard Houllier comes back – he chose me for Liverpool.

"If he (Thompson) wanted to give me a chance, he could have done it long ago.

"At least Houllier should be back in a month's time and, even if he doesn't take charge of training sessions, he will have a say in picking the team.

"I have to admit that both Michael Owen and Emile Heskey are in good form and scoring goals, so I'll have to be patient."

The quotes are likely to have been translated at some point, so fans should maybe consider that before slating the youngster.
