The 18 year old Spanish player, who is highly rated by Rafa Benitez, has a cartiledge problem in his knee, and is now unlikely to return to the training for at least a month.
The player made his one and only appearance for the Reds against CSKA Sofia as a substitute following his summer move from Sevilla.
