Barry returns to Villa

Barry was banned from Villa's training ground by Martin O'Neill after publicly criticising the Villans boss and stating he wanted a move to Liverpool. However, Barry has been allowed to resume training today.

Aston Villa play an Intertoto Cup match on Saturday but Barry is not expected to take part and so will not be cup tied for the Champions League. This suggests there is still a glimmer of hope that the Reds can bring Barry to Anfield.
