Zahovic drew worldwide attention when he was sent home from this summer's World Cup after a row with the coach due to being substituted during a 3-1 defeat to Spain, for what was described as 'harmful behaviour'.

The Slovenian's future has been the subject of speculation linking him with a move to the Premiership, with reports suggesting that the 31 year old was heading for Liverpool.

But Zahovic says he's got no interest in a mid season move, and rejected out of hand suggestions that Houllier had been to Portugal to speak with the player.

"Liverpool is of no interest to me. Nothing of that is correct. I don't think I will switch sides in the winter transfer zone. Not a chance."

And what was Zlatko's harmful behavior you ask? He told the national coach: "I can buy you, I can buy your house, your family and I can buy that mountain we were running on in Slovenia during our preparations. You were a dickhead player and you're the same as a coach."

Such a calming influence. Imagine the wage demands with all that buying going on.
