Benitez admits we are not the best

After 20 years without success in the league, Benitez is determined to bring success back to Anfield.

"When you think about English clubs in Europe you think first about Liverpool and then Manchester United, Arsenal and the other clubs," said the Liverpool manager ahead of this week's Champions League clash with Deportivo.

"Liverpool cannot be regarded as the number one team in Europe now. You must look to who has won things recently.

"We are a big club, an important club but we cannot say we are the best at the moment.

"I am not satisfied with our performances this year in Europe because we played very well at home and very badly away.

"I am trying to find the balance in the team that means we can win at home and away in the same way."
