Benitez demands an improvement in away form

Liverpool have won all three of their home Premiership games, as well as recording a comfortable victory over last season's European Cup finalists but away from Anfield they have struggled, with the 2-0 defeat of Graz their only away win.

If the Reds are to seriously challenge for trophies this season they will need to improve their away form and Benitez is looking for that improvement to start tonight.

Benitez said: "It is difficult to explain why we have started so well at home but now away. But we know we need to change it and hopefully we will put it right against Olympiacos.

"It will be a difficult game but, as always, we will be going there to win. Afterwards we might thing a draw would be a good result, but we'll be aiming for a win from the kick off.

"We know they do well at home and have a good record there and a good support, but that's often the case with teams in the Champions League.

"We have a good squad with good experience in Europe, but we can always do with more experience and playing in the Champions League will help.

"If you play well in the Premiership the supporters are happy. But if you also play well in the Champions League, not only are your supporters happy but everyone around the world can see how well the team is doing."
