Benitez dismisses Alonso transfer talk

After losing out on Cesc Fabregas reports in Spain suggest Real Madrid have made Xabi Alonso their number one transfer target. However, Rafa Benitez was quick to dismiss such reports as nonsense.

"I read what is written in the Spanish press but I can categorically state that nothing is happening with Xabi. We do not want to sell him," said the Liverpool boss.
