"Our idea is to improve in the Premiership and keep going forward in the Champions League, but when we start in the FA Cup we also know that it is important and we will try to qualify and go as far as we can in that competition too," said the Liverpool boss.
"We must always concentrate in every competition. You cannot say one is not important.
"We tried to win in the Carling Cup at Crystal Palace but couldn't. We put out a better team than the one that got us to Cardiff last year but it is difficult to control everything in football."
