Benitez rues national service

Milan Baros has been ruled out for up to four weeks with a hamstring injury picked up playing for the Czech Republic midweek, and the Liverpool boss wants the national federations to be more considerate of the clubs.

"I think the clubs have to be protected more, "said Benitez. "We are the ones who pay if a player is injured on international dity.

"His national federation doesn't suffer and, if I lose my players to injury, I will win nothing.

"This is a big problem for us."
