Obviously Benitez will send his charges out to do both but if he has to choose he will opt for the win ahead of a great performance on the pitch.
"I want to see a good game but I don't want to see a lot of goals in the back of our net. 4-3 games are good for the fans but I'd prefer to keep a clean sheet," says Benitez.
"Newcastle is a very good team with very good players. They are not playing as well now as they have been but they will still be a difficult team to play against. Their strikers will pose a danger and it's up to us to ensure they don't do any damage.
"We too have not been playing as well as we have been and it's important to get our confidence back with a victory. Our problem in recent games as been that we've had many opportunities but not scored enough goals."
