Benitez wants Crouch

Liverpool have been linked with the Southampton striker since the start of the close season but yesterday was the first time Benitez confirmed there was some truth in the stories.

Speaking in yesterday's press conference Benitez said: "I want to sign Peter Crouch. I like this player and he would be a good addition to our squad. At this moment Rick Parry is talking to Southampton and hopefully something can be agreed. I would like Peter to come to Switzerland with us on our training camp."
