Benitez wary of Benfica threat

Although the draw was seen as a favourable one for Liverpool, Benitez says that Benfica are dangerous opponents and the Reds will not be underestimating the Portugese side.

"It will be a very difficult game for us as Benfica have good players like Simao, but our idea is to try and control the game and score an away goal which is always important," he said.

"Benfica is a strong team, I think one of the best in Portugal with a good history of winning trophies. They always score goals and don't concede much.

"They have a good balance to their team but Giovanni is injured which is maybe good news for us, although they have a lot of good players with quality.

"We need to press them and maybe away from home in Europe it's easier to play counter attack but we will see."
