Blue wants to meet Reds

With Liverpool set to be top seeds due to their european success and Everton confirmed as unseeded due to a lack of european success, the Merseyside clubs could meet in round three. Usually clubs from the same country cannot meet at this stage but UEFA have not given Liverpool 'country protection' for this campaign.

The chance of meeting their city rivals is one that excites Bent.

"Let's get Liverpool and go all out and try to achieve some more," he said.

"Now it's time for us to get back to work and try to achieve something this season.

"To try and work on it and get a lot of confidence from it - we need to push on and hopefully do well in the Champions League."
