"Every day I dream of playing in England," said Boateng who's currently playing for Ghana in the African Nations Cup.

"In England, the pace is fast, the players are strong and a lot more intelligent now. That is where I wish to play.

"I would love to play for Liverpool. They play as a team, like we have seen with players like Owen. They encourage young players."

The striker is certainly not short of supporters. One  fan describes him as '...the obvious successor to the likes of George Weah. In about five years, Boateng will be the African player firmly considered to be amongst the world's best...'

Boateng, who can play as a striker or in midfield, has two years left to run on his contract.
