Rafa admitted that the importance of the huge game against Juve in the Champions League could alter the teams focus, but that it would be no excuse come 5 o'clock tomorrow.
"I've been talking to the players and telling them to forget the Juventus match next week and focus only on beating Bolton," he said.
And Benitez also highlighted the problems of international fixtures.
"It is always a problem when players come back from international duty because you don't have a lot of time to prepare," he said. "We will be talking a lot about the lessons from our last international break. We will need to approach the game in the same way as the derby.
"I know that's difficult because a derby is different to other matches, but we must try because this is just as important," he concluded.
