New signings Xabi Alonso and Luis Garcia are set to make their debut for the Reds, with Dietmar Hamann and Steve Finnan making way for the Spaniards.
Josemi should be fit, after limping off during last Saturday's game with Manchester City, so Jamie Carragher will switch back to centre back alongside Sami Hyypia.
