'Bootroom Boy' faces biggest test yet

KopTalk's 'Bootroom Boy' faces his biggest test yet this evening when he will appear in an Open Race over 480 metres at Brough Park.

Up against Champion trainer Elaine Parker, Sam will probably open at around 10/1 if early indications on how the betting will go suggests.

Although he only has been raced 5 times, he has already progressed through the grades and tonight he will figure in the Hexham Puppy Stakes alongside the highly respected 'Tucks Mein'.

Today's Racing Post has written him off which is fair enough as 'Tucks Mein' should make it an easy victory but can the canine Kopite give him a run for his money.

The write up in the Post says: "Tucks Mein has really started to get his act together in recent weeks and should prove a cut above these. He may have to work to get to the lead but his superb middle pace can see him in control by half way and from then on he can accelerate clear. Hi Fellas and Yakima Knows are closely matched on last weeks form over course and distance but both will find tonights task altogether more daunting."

As Tucks Mein hasn't had a trial on the course he may go wide on the first bend and if Sam can get there first, with a bit of luck he could be in there.
