"Thursday is a night where the fans can play a part," said Houlleir. "They can contribute and they can help us.
"We will do the job on the pitch, but we can do it even better if the fans are with us from start to finish.
"Marseille have a very passionate home support. The atmosphere there can be terrific but, of course, the rest of Europe knows just how passionate the Anfield crowd can be."
