Boss demands big performance from Baros

Baros is currently serving a three match domestic ban after a reckless challenge on Alan Stubbs in the Merseyside derby. Baros' moment of madness has left Liverpool short of attacking options in the league so Benitez is demanding he makes it up to the fans with an immense performance against the Italians tonight.

"I think Milan owes something to the fans," said Benitez. "He knows he needs to play as well as possible because of what happened in the derby. We lost him to a red card when we were winning and Everton could easily have drawn at Anfield.

"He now knows that he is an important player for us. We do not have a lot of strikers and I know he wants to play as well as possible and score.

"He has the potantial to win games. He is our top scorer and we need goals. So we need him fit and on his best form."
