"I thought we produced some good football - better than we've been at times," he said after the game.
"The man of the match was the team of the match. We played as a team, very compact, and when we had to defend we defended well.
"When we had to attack we attacked with movement. We had some great movements but it wasn't always finished with the same accuracy or quality.
"We've got a good team and squad and good mental quality to bounce back from a defeat. The response was brilliant.
"We are not easy to play on the back of a defeat."
