Boumsong awaiting January sales

The highly-rated 23-year-old defender is rumoured to have negotiated a deal to join the Reds in the summer alongside team-mate Djibril Cisse but he insists that he could leave for pastures new much sooner.

Boumsong said:"I'm not against the idea of leaving Auxerre this winter, if all the financial aspects are interesting for me and for Auxerre.

"I know that I'm free in June but I would like to find an agreement with a club before the end of the season. I am aware of Liverpool's interest, but I have not signed anything with the Reds yet."
