Bowyer insults Leeds fans with u-turn statement

Lee Bowyer claims that he had "reservations" about leaving Leeds for Liverpool.

Liverpool decided not to press ahead with the deal but the talented midfielder is trying to save his blushes of having nobody to play with by claiming that he pulled the plug. His chance of joining Liverpool has now been stripped of him and Leeds are on their pre-season tour of the far east leaving Bowyer in limbo.

Now we can use the negative Bowyer images again ;-)
Bowyer, like team-mate Rio Ferdinand, are taking every Leeds United fan for a ride with their actions and you have to spare a thought for them. Ok we don't care what happens to other clubs but this sort of sickening u-turn by Bowyer because nobody wants him stinks.

The collapse of the transfer doesn't really effect our club but if we were on the board and he was a Liverpool player trying to do a u-turn to get back in at the club after wanting to walk in such a high profile way, he'd have no knees - it's as simple as that.

It's time that fans United together and turned their backs on brain dead players who show no respect for their club's supporters. By all rights players should be allowed to move on in the correct manner but Bowyer's claim that he never wanted to leave is the biggest insult to supporters that we have seen for a long, long time.

"I never asked to go on the transfer list and made it clear to Mr Ridsdale that I had reservations when they accepted Liverpool's bid," explained Bowyer.

"So it is probably in the best interest of all parties that the deal did not go through.

"The arrival of Terry Venables was also a major factor in my thinking that this was not the right time to be leaving Elland Road.

''With the players we have and with Venables as manager I genuinely believe we have an excellent chance of winning something this season."
