Bowyer seeks advice from Matteo and Fowler

Leeds United midfielder Lee Bowyer has sounded out former Reds Dominic Matteo and Robbie Fowler about life at Anfield.

The talented midfielder is a Liverpool target but all parties involved are currently sitting tight waiting for someone to make a move.

Bowyer's agent says the player will quit Elland Road in the summer regardless of who the manager is and this has prompted Bowyer to speak to team-mates who have already worn the famous Red shirt of Liverpool.

Arsenal and Liverpool are prepared to pay around £10million for him now but if there's no sign of any developments by the time the new campaign is on us, Gerard Houllier is likely to move for him in the run-up to Christmas, claim Kop Talk sources. However a formal move before then looks extremely likely.
