Steve Bruce has praised Heskey recently but is refusing to comment on whether he will be attempting to buy the Liverpool number eight at the end of the season.
"We have been linked with about 35 players every week and it is becoming farcical really," claims Bruce. "But he [Heskey] is somebody who I think is a really, really good player. He is somebody who we have an interest in and that is as far as it has gone at the moment."
