Bruno feels part of the action

After scoring the two goals that took Liverpool into the fifth round of the FA Cup, the French midfielder was philosophical.

"I was not the worst player in the world a month ago, and I'm not the best player in the world now," he said. "But at least I do feel part of things now - a Liverpool player.

"There have been times when I could feel I still had to win the respect of my teammates.

"When you are a new signing still trying to prove yourself the other players are maybe a little wary of giving you the ball.

"I felt that was the case last season, but like any professional the onus was on me to win everybody around with my performances.

"It meant a lot to me when Steven Gerrard came up to me after the Newcastle game and hugged me. If he can see players who are committed and work hard like he does, then he is behind them and supports them.

"I have found a bit of momentum and need to keep working hard now."

Got a song for Cheyrou?
