"When you don't play you don't score and confidence for me comes from scoring goals. That is important for me," says Cheyrou.
"I never doubted myself but it wasn't easy last year," he told the club's official site. "Now in the new season I have been unlucky to have trouble with my back.
"I'm now back in training and, all going well, I hope to have a run-out for the reserves next week.
"If I can play more and I can score more then I will be the happiest guy in Liverpool! I am very happy here."
