Baros said: "I have heard all the rumours about Real Madrid and Barcelona supposedly being interested in me and of course it is nice. But I am back at Liverpool now ready for a new season and I want to stay here and play as many games as I can.
"I have been at the club for two-and-a-half years. So far I have had more disappointing moments than happy moments, but I want that to change.
"I know I cannot play in every game and I also know that we have other world-class strikers here like Michael Owen and Djibril Cisse, but I will do my best to persuade the manager to keep picking me."
