Business as usual insists Houllier

With the board still offering no message of support to Houllier the press are reporting that he is unlikely to last beyond the weekend. However, Houllier himself has put on a brave face and will carry on as normal despite all the speculation.

Talking on Wednesday afternoon, Houllier said: "I am carrying on my work as normal and have been holding meetings with staff preparing for next season. I have been discussing contracts and other matters, as well as when the players will report back. So I am carrying on my work as normal."
